I sparked quite a conversation on Tiktok recently when I said that Asians have always been African. Upon making this statement, I quickly realized that this was a revelation that challenge basically everything we have been taught and conditioned to believe, especially in America. We’ve been taught that Asian people are separate from African people, yet there are so many unsettling details and things that link the two seemingly separate groups.

Paco Taylor, a writer from Chicago has an article revealing photographic evidence of Black Chinese as well as the Orang Asli, the “first people” of Southeast Asia. It definitely gets you thinking that if this was 150 years ago than there must have been more black “Asians” before then, especially since the Orang Asli people have African facial features, brown skin and curly hair.

The Orang Asli are referred to as “negritos”. The Chinese word equivalent for negrito is kunlun, which is mentioned in early Chinese literature and mythology. Most notably Kulun Nu, a wuxia romance written in the Tang Dynasty (618-907 A.D.) is about a “negrito” slave, who uses his supernatural abilities to save his beloved from certain circumstances. Ancient Chinese believed Kunlun Mountain to be a paradise and dwelling place of gods, goddess, sacred plants & animals as well where Chinese civilization originated from.
Robin Lofton, an independent historian, dives into the history of Africans in China in her article with BlackPast, which correlates perfectly as Kulun Nu was written during the Tang dynasty, which was the peak of slavery trade between Africa and China.
Dr Shihan de Silva Jayasuriya, a London based researcher speaks about the community of Afro Sri Lankan people in South East Asia of African origin in her article. She spoke with the indigenous people of Sirambiyadiya, who told her that their ancestors, soldiers were brought there by European colonist long ago.

An honorable mention is the artifacts of the ancient Cham(pa) dynasty. The kingdom ruled from the 2nd to 17th century AD and extended along the eastern coast of Vietnam, from central to southern present day Vietnam. They were master temple and sculptures builders with evidence of their extraordinary work still present in Vietnam and Cambodia.
From a scientific approach, a study from 2001 by Li Jin from the University of Texas found that modern East Asians are indeed genetically linked to East Africa. Jin and his colleagues found 3 SAPs within the Y chromosomes: M89, M130 and YAP. These are mutations of another DNA molecule M168, which originated only in East Africa. Read more on this study here and here.
G. Philip Rightmire of the University of New York’s facial morphology found similarities as well as no “consistent patterns in facial morphology which set the African hominids apart from AsianΒ H. erectus. Asian and African”, this was in 1998.
The Deep Roots of Afro-Asia is an interesting read as it takes a look into African and Asian relations and exchanges in history as well as modern day.
With just the information right here, it’s very clear to see that Asian people are of African descent and that upon deeper research, that many Black Asians were eventually assimilated into the current Asian populations, most notably the Han Chinese in both modern day China and throughout Southeast Asia.
The misinformation in media portrayal of both African Americans and Asians/Asian Americans have caused a divide between the community that is still apparent to this day. It’s classic Social Darwinism, smaller groups are easier to maintain control over than the whole. If we don’t know our power, that’s not their issue, it’s ours. If we choose to fight each other instead of the system, the system prevails. I say it all the time, we did not come back to live our human experiences during this time in history by accident or merely coincidence, we came back for a reason! Together, learning and understanding our history, coming together in communication and unity; community is how we lead and raise the collective consciousness as the new ancestors!
We are all psychic and we are all empaths. We are spiritual beings having a human experience and we only see 1% of all reality. We are all made up of energy and we are able to detect changes in the energies within and surrounding us. That ability is known as psychic abilities or clairsenses. We are all already tapped in, we just gotta tap in with ourselves! We are the conductors and we are all connected, soul to best tap in with all that is, you have to tap in with all that you are.
Concepts & Definitions
ClairvoyanceClear Seeing
This is seeing flashes, images, or symbols in the past, present or future with the mindβs eye/third eye.
ClairaudienceClear Hearing
This is hearing words, sounds, noises, and music in our own minds.
ClairsentienceClear Feeling
This is seeing emotions, feelings, sometimes even thought forms as well.
Claircognizance Clear Knowing
This is knowing information that we have not received in the physical realm. This can be a range of things from emotions, feelings, to clear/full thought forms to things in the past, present or future.
Clairalience Clear Smelling
This is smelling nostalgic or smells in general without that source of that scent being in your general vicinity or close enough that you would actually smell it. Again this can be of the past, present or future, and as always it may not be YOUR past, present or future.
Clairagustance Clear Tasting
This is tasting flavors or things of the past, present or future. This can come about as you are thinking it or as others think of it.
Additional Clairsenses
What I’ve learned in my personal experience with soul family, is that everyone is tapped in and able to access whatever ability they wish, it just requires practice. Many of us come with “speciality” or natural abilities, we all have something that we are pretty good at without any effort. You’ll find that there’s a depth to each clairsenses into further categories, I don’t like to focus too much on terminology, I like to focus on the practice. By doing this, we take away from the limiting aspect of labeling things.
You can explore the comments section of my “everybody is psychic” video from TikTok where hundreds of people share their abilities and potentials.
Join the Soul Family on Patreon for a prerecorded Innerstanding InnerG/Energy for exercises to strengthen and get more familiar with each clairsenses.
In preparation for spell works, rituals, or any kind of spiritual workings, it is recommended to properly ground, cleanse and protect your energy. You’ll have a much higher success rate when you are grounded, energy is cleansed and you are protected.
Grounding your energy will keep your energy, as the word suggests, grounded and where it’s supposed to be. You can quickly ground yourself through visualization, just bring attention to your breath and imagine yourself growing roots deep into the Earth. Walking barefoot on grass is also a great way to ground yourself, bringing attention to your breath. As you can notice there’s a pattern with bring attention to breath, being that it is the breath of life that allows us to live, soul
Cleansing your energy will be similar, bring attention to your breath and visualize yourself being surrounded by white or gold light that is clearing out any stagnant or muck that’s in your energy field. You can also light incense, or sage yourself as well.
Protection can be a simple prayer to your spirit team; your angels, ancestors and guides, such as “I ask my angels, ancestors and spirit guides to come together and protect me from harm as I do this (type of work).” You can also wear a crystal for protection and that will work during workings as well. It’s all on what works for you, what you like or want to do and remember it’s always up to you. What you believe will work for you will work for you, and visa versa. Trust in your intuition and inner guidance π
When we interact with people, get into relationships, whether platonic or romantic, this creates an energetic cord between you and this person. You can also create energetic cords with places and things as well. We sometimes create energetic bonds with people that eventually become unhealthy or toxic, this is the case with energy vampires, read more about that here.
A cord cutting ritual or ceremony is intended to cut any unhealthy energetic cords between you and other people. Many people like to use cord cutting rituals after break ups to help severe those ties. I personally use them every so often to cut ties between old relationships as well as old limiting beliefs that no longer serve my best and highest good
The physical actions for the cord cutting is simple, all you need is two candles and a piece of string/cord/twine. Tie the twine into a circle with a knot and place the candles on either end inside of the twine. Some rituals call for it to be wrapped a few times, it’s honestly up to you. You can get a little more fancy, if you would like by dressing the candles in herbs or burn the candles with herbs around it. The type of candle does not really matter, you can use chime/taper candles or tealight candles, whatever you have will work. Use your intuition and allow it to guide you.
This is my version of a cord cutting, as mentioned, you can add more elements as you feel called to. As with all workings, make sure you are grounded and protected before starting, you can read about how to do that here.
Gather your supplies and get yourself in a space where you are comfortable and won’t be disturbed for the duration of the ritual.
Start by dressing your candles, if you want and tying the twine together to create a loop.
Place your candles apart and place the twine around the candles, pulling them apart to create slight tension to hold the twine in place. Place the candles in a burn safe plate or container and fill it with a bit of water to help keep it cool and prevent fire as well as absorb any negative energies during the burning.
Set your intention by mediating for a bit on what you wish to do, example focusing on severing the cords between you and who/whatever or you can write a petition, which is basically writing all the intentions down on paper.
Light the candles and watch the flames and cord burning. You can refer to the basic flame meanings below or use your intuition to pull insights during the burning.
After the burning, you can keep track of how long the candles burned for for more insights or read the leftover wax. Remember whatever comes to mind for wax reading will be your additional insights. Dispose of the candle and remains and remove from your property immediately.
You can do this as often or infrequent as you would like, remember to trust your intuition and follow your inner guidance.
Basic Flame Meanings
Tall, Strong flame: A tall, strong flame indicated that the work is working, strong enough to push through any obstacles and tall enough to reach the height of your goals and intentions.
Low flame: A low flame can indicate that more work needs to be done for there to be good results. This can indicate not enough energy for the spell to work.
Short, Weak flame: A short and weak flame can indicate that your intentions or timing may be off, especially if it weakens.
Steady flame: A steady flame is a positive indication that the spell is working in your favor.
Blue/Colored flame: A blue or colored flame other than orange and yellow can indicate the presence of a spirit, angel or highly evolved entity.
Dancing flame: A dancing flame indicates that the work will work, but not without any problems/resistance. Notice how tall or short the flame is, this can indicate the level of resistance.
Flickering flame: Notice the direction that the flame is flickering towards. The direction can be interpreted via the 4 compass points.
Crackling/ Popping flame: A crackling/popping flame can indicate resistance or opposing forces, use your intuition as if it is opposing forces, you will generally know exactly who it is. A better interpretation would be to take in consideration what kind of work you are performing, example if you are doing protection work, a crackling or popping flame would indicate someone with bad intentions is talking about you or working against you.
Dual flame: A dual flame can indicate that another force, energy, spirit or deity has joined the work and is generally a good sign that your work is working. It also depends on the type of work being done, in protection work, it would indicate that the intended target is reflecting the work back to you, while in hexing work, it would indicate that the new force has joined to help the work.
Flame self-extinguishes: This means that the work is done, a self extinguishing flame is a great indication that your work went well and your prayer was received by the Spirit world.
Quick burning, uneven: A quick burning that is uneven can indicate that you were not properly grounded before starting. Try again at a different time, if the results are the same, you need to recast another time.
Quick burning, even: A quick and even burning is a great indication that your spell worked, however a super quick and out of control burning indicates that you may need to reevaluate your work.
Remember that your initial indications and insights always trump a basic meaning or explanation. Trust your intuition and inner guidance.
I do offer a cord cutting ritual that’s seasonal, you can book yours here.
I discovered this awesome new tool called βSchumann resonancesβ on the App Store.
The Schumann resonances are a set of peaks in the extremely low frequency (ELF) portion of the Earthβs energy field. It basically measuring the amount of electrical energy created by lightning discharges between the earth’s surface and the ionosphere. (Shout out Black Lightning for the lessons on the ionosphereπ)
Essentially, itβs telling us whatβs going on with the earths energy, we live on earth soul that affects us. The app was actually created for local Reiki practitioners to see if there was a correlation between the Earthβs energy and what changes they felt themselves.
News flash, itβs all connected! Highly recommend to have this, especially if you are highly sensitive to energy changes, along with journaling there is a great way to keep track of your energy and its correlation with the Earth’s energy fluctuations π

August 20, 2021: We’re 2 days away from the second Full Moon in Aquarius, aka a blue moon and we’ve been experiencing major 5D light codes and 3D purges. Stay hydrated & well rested, it’s all coming, my loves! Everything we’ve been dreaming of, our best lives, they are aligning to us and on their way.
Altars have been used for centuries as sacred places or spaces to perform rituals and connect with Source. Many religions have altars or sacred spaces to perform rituals, for example in the Catholic Church, the altar is in the front of the church, where Mass is performed and the body and blood of Christ is received.
Your altar is your own sacred space that allows for you to honor yourself and have a safe space that represents your inner values.
Setting & Basic Set Up
You can have your altar in whatever space you have right now, the angels, ancestors and guides will understand. It can be a side table, or on top of a bookcase or small table. Whatever you have right now will work and you can always expand on it over time.
To start with, you can choose a picture(s) you would like to display. It can be of your parents, a teacher, mentor or someone special. You can have a picture of yourself as a child to represent your inner child and a hand drawn picture of what you think your higher self looks like (check out my post about creating a higher self artwork) as well as a mirror to represent your present self.
Incorporate the 5 elements of nature, earth, water, air, fire and space. For example, a live bamboo plant represents earth and water and candles represent for fire, air and space. I have a vase with flowers that I replace weekly, a live plant, candles, and incense.
If you can add something to trigger the 5 senses, this will help you step into the vibration of your sacred space. A singing bowl for sound, a fruit bowl for taste, a cushion or mat for touch, scented candles or incense for smell and everything will be a part of the sight element.
Anything you consider sacred also deserves a spot on your altar, it could be memorabilia from your childhood, a gift you received, or even photo. You can also put these things in a box or container, I suggest checking out your local thrift store. I’ve always found the exact thing I was looking for, just go with the intention and assumption that you will find it.
Sacred texts or books can also be on the altar. I personally have the Power of Psalms on my altar to help with inspiration for prayers as well as the prayers that already are in there. I also have my Reiki & Chakra books on the altar as well, as I work frequently with those. I found that any texts that you will reference frequently in your work belong on my altar as I am constantly getting new insights and downloads since doing so.
Optionally, you can add any statues or symbolism you may have for any deities you are working with or wanting to work with. Yantras are also great, yantras are geometric shapes and symbols of Hindu deities to help with meditation. Always do your research thoroughly and have respect when interacting with any deities.
You can also include crystals that you like or that you’ve researched and want their energy to be a part of your sacred space. Amethyst is great for intuition, psychic abilities, meditation and working with your abilities. It’s deep purple color corresponds with the third eye and crown chakras, and I’ve found that it syncs the two to help with receiving and deciphering divine messages. My personal favorite is Labradorite, it has really helped with me honing in on my abilities as well as keep my energy protected during readings and when I’m out and about.
Using your Sacred Space
Honestly, your sacred space can be used as often or little as you please, however it requires for your intentions, actions and for you to breathe life into the space otherwise, it is just specific decor. I personally use my altar space to journal, meditate, pray and play my sound bowls, as well as perform rituals occasionally. The important thing is to use it as you feel called to and for you to follow your intuition. This is your journey and your sacred space, use it to serve you.
Limpia or an egg cleanse is a cleansing ritual that came from our Aztec ancestors. It is still used today by shamans and healers all over the world in different applications and situations. The purpose is all the same: to calm, restore the balance within your energetic field and to protect the spirit.
As many of yall know, I believe in teaching and sharing ancient wisdom, learning how to fish rather than buying the fish. Knowing different ways to cleanse and protect your aura is beneficial and allows you to spread that knowledge and remind others of their power as well. We just have to do a little work, thank you for being here.
How to do a egg cleanse
You will need a clear cup(if you plan on reading it), egg, salt and water. You can use a room temperature egg or one from the fridge, I’ve done both, it works either way.
Make some salt water by combining some salt and water in a cup, enough to wash the egg. Wash your egg and pat it dry.
Hold the egg in your hand and either speak out loud or in your mind your intention to cleanse your energy and to remove any negative energies, evil eyes, or stagnant energies.
You can use this prayer: “I ask that Spirit to remove any negative energies, evil eyes, and stagnant energies that may be in my energetic field promptly. I ask that the energy be transformed into loving light energy and that my energy be protected on an energetic level. So it is.”
3. Use the egg to GENTLY roll/massage and run the egg over every part of your body, taking care to get in ALL the nooks and crannies and take time on any areas that may need more attention, follow your intuition and inner guidance. Do what is intuitive to you, go with the flow. Closing your eyes helps limit the distractions, help you focus and follow on your inner knowing.
4. When you are done, thank the egg for cleansing you and dispose of the egg immediately, by either flushing it down the toilet followed by a cup of salt and lemon juice. If you wish to read it, you can make a clear cup of salt water and crack the egg into it. The salt is to protect you so you can look into it, do not do this without salt water. It’s recommended to read your egg for no more than 45 mins, you should be able to see what you need to from jump.
These are general meanings for egg readings. Remember intuition and your own meanings always trump basic/general meanings.
Bubbles at the top: evil eye/”mal de ojo” this refers to people giving you the evil eye or being envious/jealous of you
Bubbles on the side: your spirit team “catching” the negative energy being thrown at you
Spikes with or without bubbles: negative energy
Bubbles rising: your ancestors are absorbing the negative energy being thrown your way
Cloudiness: negative energy in your energy space that was absorbed
Regular limpias are a great tool to finding out what has been all up in your energy and it also gives you a physical way to check up on your energetic field.
Have you ever done an egg cleanse before or had one done for you? Share your experience with soul family below π
Reiki is an energy healing technique that promotes stress reduction and relaxation. It is administered by the “laying of hands” for in person sessions or through distance and time. It was developed in Japan by Mikao Usui, also known as Usui Sensei by his beloved students, in the late 1880s.
Reiki has become mainstream since the 1980’s when Grand Master Tanka brought the Japanese developed energy healing technique to the western world. Before then, Reiki was only taught in Japan and required extensive hands on training. Thanks to Grand Master Tanka and the internet, thousands of Reiki Masters being attuned every year.
The word Reiki is made up of two Japanese words, “Rei” meaning God’s wisdom or Higher Power, and “Ki” meaning life force energy, similar to the Chinese word “chi” which also refers to the life force energy within you. The word Reiki literally translate to “spiritually guided life force energy,” which is really beautiful
Reiki is a safe and natural method of spiritual healing that everyone can benefit from. Although it is spiritual in nature, Reiki is not a religion. In fact, it is not dependent on belief at all, it will work whether you believe it will or not. Reiki comes from the Universe, Spirit, or God, depending on which name you choose to know it as. Many who use Reiki and receive say that it connects them closer to their “creator” and/or religion. Remember spirituality and religion are not exclusive, you can have one without the other.
Although Reiki is not a religion, it is still beneficial and important to live and conduct your life in a way that is harmonious with others. After a meditation, years into developing Reiki, Usai Sensei added the 5 principles of Reiki, inspired by the Meiji Emperor of Japan, whom he greatly admired.
Translation: The secret art of inviting happiness. The miraculous medicine of all diseases. Just for today, do not anger. Do not worry and be filled with gratitude. Devote yourself to your work. Be kind to people.Every morning and evening, join your hands in prayer.Pray these words to your heart and chant these words with your mouth Usui Reiki Treatment for the improvement of body and mind
The founder,Usui Mikao
So how does Reiki work?
During a session, the practitioner transmits Universal Life Force to the client, with the intention of creating deep relaxation, help speed up the body’s natural healing abilities, reduce pain and discomfort and decrease other symptoms that you may be experiencing.
Our body already has natural healing abilities, we’ve just been programmed to think that they don’t exist or that they aren’t capable of healing us of all types of discomfort and diseases.
As mentioned before, Reiki can be performed at in person sessions with the laying of hands on the body or slightly off the body. It can also be sent across time and “long distance” in the form of prayer/intention, known as remote Reiki or long distance Reiki.
This is why it is said that the mind is powerful, if you think something won’t work, that belief is strong enough to make that a true reality. Soul imagine the possibilities we can achieve if we all learned how to heal and tap into the ancient wisdom of energy healing, what we would be able to accomplish in just this lifetime?
To learn Reiki, one receives an attunement and learn specific hand positions through which to send Reiki. With their hands attuned, they can either rest them on a recipient’s body or -when becoming second-degree Reiki practitioners- they learn a distance symbol that enables them to “dial up” and connect with a person’s energetic essence. They’re then able to perform absent Reiki, sending universal life force energy across time and space.”
As Brett Bevell explained in his book, “Psychic Reiki”, ‘Reiki doesn’t come from any person, or human, or the collective field of life force here on Earth, but from a higher source that exists on the spiritual plane… yet the energy itself is from the Divine and thus not limited by our human structures and human interpretation.
As much as you can read about Reiki, the best way to know more about is to book a session and experience it, whether that be with me or with another practitioner, make sure it is someone you feel drawn to and safe with. Use your discernment and intuition to guide you to make the right choice for you.

One of my frequently asked questions as a reader is, “What’s the difference between Tarot and Oracle cards?”
Tarot is a set system, with Major Arcana and Minor Arcana divided into 4 suits, similar to play cards (which is where it originated from). Tarot has a set number of 78 cards in a deck, while oracle cards don’t have set number in a deck or set elements such as Major Arcana or suits. Tarot is widely used to give us a look at our current life situations and how better to live them, while oracle gives more of channeled messages depending on the reader and artwork/card meanings set by the author.
Personally I love both as they have their different aspects that are very insightful during readings. Tarot lets you know where and what someone is going through, the lessons they may be overlooking and how to better approach the situation. Oracle, on the other hand, is less structured and is more lax with the insights that it gives. Some people prefer oracle as oracle cards are relatively more easy to connect with and read compared to Tarot, as you need to know some of the aspects and traditional meanings that come with the cards.
How do I get started?
Anyone can read cards, both Tarot and Oracle, connecting with them to deliver a accurate message is another thing. I’ve found in my reading journey that the more you practice, the more you will find YOUR flow and be able to tap in and channel messages easier over time. As with anything, it requires discipline and practice. Many Tarot teaching sources will recommend you to draw a card daily. When you do this is completely up to you, you can pull a card in the rising to give you advise for the day ahead or at the end of the day to see what you’ve learned from the day.
There’s a traditional rule that you need to be gifted Tarot cards, as this was more to keep the integrity of the art to ensure that the upcoming readers are truly gifted and meant for the work. Now with the internet, anyone can have access to getting Tarot cards. I personally bought my own Tarot cards, the first deck I did not connect with as it was more forced because I wanted to dive in. I always recommend making sure you are drawn to a deck before purchasing it. Many decks now run about $45-100 a deck, soul it is important that the deck you choose, you actually really like and connect with. One of the most important aspect is connecting with the artwork, Tarot cards’ artwork tell a story and the more you can connect with that story, the better.
Card Spreads
Regarding card spreads, I wish someone would have told me that I don’t need a spread. You can use one to make it easier for yourself to the purpose of each card, however I find it much more fun just letting the cards come out and going from there. The message flows a lot easier as you practice. I will share my favorite 3 go to spreads that I’ve come to use periodically depending on what the person I’m reading needs.
3 Card Spreads
Past, Present & Future: This spread will let you know the past, present and future energies of the situation that you are asking about.
Advise, Shift & Overlooking: This spread will let you know the advice for the situation, how you can shift into a higher vibration and what you may be overlooking about this situation.
Inner Child, Present Self & Higher Self: This spread is great for tapping in with all of your selves.
Ultimately, use Tarot and/or Oracle cards however it serves you best. Use it to build your intuition, to read yourself and others, it is a tool for your growth and innerstanding. The deck is a tool to help you understand and trust your divine insights and intuition more.
