  • Connect with Self

This week’s main subject is really about integrating the care of the body, mind & soul in order to create a balanced, harmonious environment for you to thrive in!

Cultivating a relationship between your selfs, your me, myself and I, as well as working on the self-beings: self love, self confidence, self motivation, self determination, etc.

For the mind, bring attention to mindfulness, mental health, gratitude practice, and keeping things light with fun learning. Here are a couple of suggestions on how to keep the mind nourished and active.

    1. Research/Studying: Human history is a great starting place, I highly recommend Brittney Mejia’s, owner of Mother of Many, Intro to Kemet class. Starting with where it all began will give you a direction as well as somewhere and following what intrigues you. Research your culture, your ancestral history, your language, even as your living relatives any questions you may have regarding your family’s history. Tap in with your ancestry by meditation with the intention to connect with your previous ancestors, what they would like you to know or be aware of.

    2. Taking breaks: Keep things balanced by implementing snack breaks and rest, sometimes it’s easy to get caught up in the information when you get into something interesting. Also normalize taking break days, we are deserving of taking a day or two off, don’t guilt yourself for overworking a bit and needing extra TLC, you are learning 🙂 Themed breaks are important as well, a relaxation/spa day can help you relax and unwind while a fun activity day, such as skating, will help you tap in with inner child and let loose.

    3. Meditation: To recap, meditation is the state of being. We are in a meditative state often and sometimes don’t even realize it; during work, while driving, eating, and even for some of us, our rising routine. Bringing a little mindfulness during meditation will help you build and grow your consciousness. Remember that meditation is just a state of being, no more, no less.

    4. Creative expression: This is singing, dancing, spoken work, drawing, painting, performing, however it is that you feel comfortable with letting your creative energy flow and take form in the physical, do it! Learn a new form of expression if you don’t have one or are bored with one. Your creative energy is your sexual energy and your sensual energy, allow it to flow and bring you a sense of fulfillment and release as you bring it to life!

    5. Gratitude practice: We’ll dive in deeper later this week, but a practice of showing your gratitude either to yourself or the Universe is a small, but potent step. Gratitude is the highest form of energy exchange that the Universe will accept. You are capable of limitless love, light and joy; shifting your vibration with gratitude brings you closer to all that you want to attract. It’s communication with the Universe that you love what you have and are ready for more!

The body requires nutritious food, daily movement, daily sunlight, plenty of rest, and natural remedies and healing modalities.  Making sure our body has all it’s needs met is a great way to keep track of and balance within our physical vessels. You only have one vessel for this lifetime, treat it with love, care and respect.

    1. Nourishment: Intuitive eating has been one of the things that really changed the way I looked at eating. Currently, we are being pushed into plant based, gluten free and dairy free eating, while that works for some people. I find that sometimes depriving our bodies of what we need is actually counter productive to what we are doing by changing diet. We change our diet because we want to feel better. Proper nutrition knowledge of what vegetables and fruits are in season in your local area is a great place to start. Tap into farmer’s markets, they need us more than ever and you’ll find better produce at better prices than at the grocery store AND you’re helping out your local economy.

    2. Sleep & rest: A lot of today’s culture and mainstream media push this image of overworking, “making the most of your 24 hours” that’s extremely unrealistic and dangerous even. I’ve found in the past year that the times that I truly took a break vs me working all day, I’ve actually made more money resting than when I was working. It goes to show us that when we stop chasing, whatever we wanted eventually comes catching up to us. Keeping a balance between work and rest is vital to your energy level and deleption. If you need to rest for a week, rest for a week, but during that break, don’t even for a second, feel bad, guilt or shame for needing to rest, you deserve rest!

    3. Moderation: As with everything else, moderation is important especially to the physical body. We have different limits physically, we are encouraged to stay within the limits and make the best of them. Limitations, as fustrating as they can be, are divine protection. Sometimes you have to learn things the hard way, a couple times, before you get the hang of it and that’s okay! Remember there’s no such things as mistakes, only opportunities for you to learn.

The soul is nourished through finding your life’s purpose, connecting with a higher power, expanding your consciousness, connecting with nature and exploring enlightenment and awakening.

    1.  Ground, cleanse & protect: I’ve discussed this a few times, so if yall want any tips or elaborations into this, let me know below 🙂

    2. Meditation for self reflection: As I’ve mentioned before, meditation with intention is POWERFUL, meditation with the intention for self reflection, POWERFUL! These meditations are best for when you have sometime to just sit and dwell in the energy of what it is you need to know, I would recommend setting a timer for 15-30 minutes. Just like with normal meditation, you can always set multiple intentions or “topics of concern” that you would like to address; such as “I set the intention to self reflect on the past 3 months and to let go of what no longer serves my best and highest good.”

    3.  Soul connections: As you continue on your soul’s journey, you will encounter a lot of people that will help you on your path. Some people, who love, honor and respect our energy, we call friends and those who teach us lessons, we sometimes view as ex lovers, ex friends or enemies. Remember it’s all on your perspective, each and every person that came into your life has a specific and important lesson for you to learn from. Always be open to receiving the lessons and opportunities for you to expand your awareness and consciousness with each experience.

    4. Soul’s Purpose: Your soul’s purpose is to be yourself! You are the only one who can live your life, live your vision and be the best you! Your calling and life’s purpose as far as role, will come with time and in divine timing. Your passion leads you to your purpose, whatever it is that you LOVE to do, that’s most likely what your role will involve, it’s up to you to be courageous enough to act on it and take a risk on yourself 🙂

Any questions, you can comment below 🙂

    Clear Quartz

Known as the master healer, clear quartz has a wide range of benefits and application to aid you in your healing. Clear quartz has the ability to absorb, store, release and regulate energies. TVs, phones, and watches actually use clear quartz for it is Piezoelectric, meaning it gives a charge when pressure is applied to it.

    Smoky Quartz

This type of quartz is worth mentioning because it truly is a key in releasing unwanted emotional energetic debris as well as healing old wounds to bring stability to the present moment. The beautiful layered shades of brown signifies it’s grounding and stabilizing ability, so much so that it’s often referred to as the “grounding stone”. This crystal is a tonic for your nervous system, calming and stabilizing thoughts that lead to stress and anxiety. Smoky quartz helps us ground ourselves to the Earth and opens up the root and solar plexus. Truly the perfect stone for many applications of healing!

Its ability to dispel fear, lift depression and negativity makes it an excellent choice in helping you maintain a positive approach to life, especially during the moving on process of difficult or painful experiences.

TIP: Place it on your crown chakra (top of your head) and meditate.

    Celestite

This soft blue crystal carries an angelic energy that stimulates the Throat chakra, our center of communication. It acts as a sort of pressure valve that allows energy to flow in a regulated way, resulting in the elimination of toxins in the body and repairs it at the cellular level. Celestite’s high vibration aids in the communication between you and your guardian angels and it’s uplifting energy allows you to more comfortably and confidently receive divine support and guidance.

    Fluorite

Everyone truly comes across crystals and specific ones in divine timing and this one is no different! If you have come across or now own a piece of Fluorite, then you know, there’s something about this one that you can just FEEL before even selecting or touching it! That’s because this one is what I like to call the “Upgrade”! It absorbs and neutralizes negative energy, reducing stress, allowing for a more balanced energetic state. It also increases our abilities to concentrate, which aids us in making decisions in alignment for our best & highest good. It also facilities in promoting positivity and balance physically, mentally and emotionally.

It’s special ability to allow you to feel your emotions and feelings without drowning in it, soul you can better learn and innerstand them. Because remember your emotions are your energy in motion, they are your teachers! Fluorite is well known for its spiritual detoxing and transformative abilities to help you ground and harmonize your energy through the increasing of intuitive and psychic abilities. The upper chakras LOVE fluorite and it acts as a calibration tool for the alignment of the Throat, Third Eye and Crown chakras.

TIP: Keep one where you conduct business, such as an office, by a laptop or deck to keep the energy flowing and clear blockages while you sending emails, typing business proposal or brainstorming ideas.

    Selenite

This one is one of my top recommended starter crystals because it is a power healing crystal that promotes purity, peace and tranquility, in addition to its self cleansing AND charging abilities. That’s right, you can use selenite to cleanse and charge your other crystals and you don’t have to cleanse or charge it! God really DID THAT! Selenite’s high vibration allows for you to have deep healing through the clearing of the crown chakra of any blocks. When you cleanse that crown chakra, that’s how you are able to co-create WITH EASE! Your oneness, connection to all that is allows you to draw in the aligned opportunities that are in alignment for your best & highest good!

Selentite’s ability to shift stagnant energy and keep the aura clean is another reason why you should have one on your vessel when you’re out and about! It’s constant clearing of negative energy from the surrounding environment also makes it a great choice for high traffic settings, such as in homes and businesses.

TIP: Keep one under your pillow or on your nightstand to ward off bad dreams and spiritual/psychic attacks during the night!

    Labradorite

Labradorite has a special place in my heart because my first long wearing crystal talisman was a Labradorite Nine Tails Fox. (Shout out to my Naruto fans :D) It’s ability to supercharge, strengthen, and elevate your psychic abilities truly allows you to rid of any fears, doubt and illusions of why you can’t do what it is you KNOW you are destined to! It increases self confidence and I credit it to how I was able to start sharing my gifts with over 200,000 soul family members on TikTok! Labradorite has a beautiful energy that calms your spirit and energy, allowing you to sift through anxious and stressful thoughts without becoming them. This stone of transformation helps you develop and be confident in your spiritual and emotional abilities.

    Shungite

Best known for its purification and protective properties, Shungite is a must have, especially if you have electronics! Shungite is scientifically proven to shield against EMF (electromagnetic field) radiation from electronics, such as phones, laptops and TVs. Prolonged EMF exposure can increase fatigue, headaches and can cause a decrease in learning ability and cognitive impairment.

Its ability to ground, detox and neutralize energies makes it great for the office, car, really anywhere!

TIP: Keep one by any electronics to protect you from EMF. You can also place one on your nightstand to detox you overnight from EMF.

    How to use crystals

    Crystal Shapes & Their Uses

    Crystal Shapes & their uses

How to charge, cleanse & activate your crystals

If you got your crystal(s) from me, they have all been cleansed, charged & activated under a Full Moon, and Reiki infused to amplify their metaphysical properties. You can further activate your crystals to your specific energetic needs and energy by simply setting the intention or if you need a ritual, this basic activation is very simple and effective. I highly encourage you to make up your own ritual because when we make things specific to us, it’s more powerful, ALWAYS!

    Cleansing your crystals

Here a few of my favorite ways to cleanse and charge my crystals for optimum usage.

With Selenite: You can use selenite to both cleanse AND charge your crystals. Simply place them on a selenite plate/wand or in a selenite bowl and allow for your intuition to let you know when it’s done. (1:23 as I’m typing this! Divine alignment!)

Smudging/Smoke Cleanse: Incense, smudging dried herbs, palo santo and sage all work under the smudging/smoke cleanse category. Lit up your cleansing tool of choice and pass your crystals one by one through the smoke. Having a vented container is easiest to do large batches of crystals. 😉

Water: NOW WARNING: THERE ARE CRYSTALS THAT CAN NOT BE PUT IN WATER! These crystals always end in “-ite”, so yes, celestite, selenite, fluorite and labradorite are not recommended to be cleansed using water. Some of them can do a quick pass, but soaking in water is never recommended for the ones that can be water damaged. Always just look it up! We got google baby!

Now you can cleanse your crystals in water, if they are water safe, by passing them through water straight from the tap, with intention of course, or by enchanting the water (setting an intention) and placing them in the water.

Earth: My all time favorite way truly is using the Earth. You can partially or fully bury your crystals, be sure to put a marker if you decide to bury them. Generally, it’s recommended to leave for a full moon cycle, about a month, but do what you’re called to. If you only have a weekend, do it for a weekend.

    Charging your Crystals

Sun/Moon charging: You can use the beautiful sun and/or moon to charge your crystals. Be sure to check which ones are sun safe, as there are a few crystals that can’t be in the sun for prolong periods of time. Simply set your crystals out to be able to catch sun or moonlight, set your intentions and allow your intuition to lead the way. (Starting to see the pattern? 😀 )

Meditation: One of the most powerful things you can do to charge your crystals and really anything is through intention. Set an intention and simply meditate and be with your crystal. Allow your energy to connect to it and allow that connection to just flow!

Cleansing and charging your crystals regularly allows them to be most effective. They say cleanliness is closest to Godliness!

    Crystal Activation Ritual

Ready to activate your crystals? Let’s GOOOO!

What you will need: your crystal(s) and YOU, optional a piece of paper & writing utensil

    1. Think of what you want your crystal to do for you. Draw a little figure representing you and your crystal. Write your intentions above it.
    2. Fold the paper up and hold it in your dominant hand. Close your eyes and focus on the intentions you wrote on the paper. Imagine a golden energy swirling around the paper as you think and once you set your intention, imagine that energy infusing into the paper.
    3. Set your crystal on top of the paper and allow for it to do its thing.
    4. When it is done, burn the piece of paper in a burn safe container and you’re all set! Your crystal(s) is/are now activated for your best & highest good!
  • Palo Santo vs Sage: What You Need to Know

You can really find tons of information on Palo Santo and Sage on Google, soul I’m just going to tell you what you NEED to know here!

Sage is used to remove stagnant and unwanted energies from the space, while Palo Santo brings in light and positivity back into the space. Soul pretty much, you burn Sage to clear the energy and Palo Santo to bring back good energy. This is why you’ll find a lot of people and articles recommending to use them together.

Now what’s important about these spiritual tools is that due to the rise in demand in the past few years for them, they are now experiencing scarcity as well as unethical business practices in order to meet that demand. I source my both Peruvian Palo Santo and white Sage from US based small businesses in California that practice ethical business practices to harvest and supply both items. The Palo Santo is collected from fallen trees only and both business contribute to the efforts of ethically sourcing/harvest the items as well as paying those involved in the process a decent, livable wage. We are being the change we want to see!

  • Divination: Tarot & Oracle

Tarot and oracle divination is really one of the greatest gifts you can give to yourself. It is for guidance, insight, inspiration, healing, prediction, clarity and confirmation. I find both Tarot and Oracle to be ways to tap in with your own energy as well as the energy around you. Tarot tells you a story about your current energy and surrounding energy and gives you insight and perspective on how to live life more fully and freely.

Tarot was created by painters commissioned in northern Italy, going back as far as 1415. In the early twentieth century, A.E. Waite, created the most influential deck to date, the Rider Waite. It is also known as the Rider Waite Smite, referring to Pamela Colman Smith who illustrated.

The Tarot deck includes seventy eight cards, divided into two groups, referred to as  “Arcana”, which came from the Latin root word “arcanus,” meaning “secret”. The Major Arcana has twenty two cards, also known as trumps or keys and the Minor Arcana, known as the suits, are separated into 4 suits, similar to playing cards.

    Major Arcana

The major Arcana represent key turning points and decisions in life. The keys are a complete cycle, starting with “0 The Fool” and ending with “XXI The World”. • My Story: How I became Vy the Truth

My journey began February 3rd, 1997 in Germany, I vaguely remember my childhood before 4, but I remember bits and pieces of when we moved. To me, I was told to say bye and then we were moving to the United States. I remember getting our visas at the airport and a very long plane ride and arrive in America, tired from the trip and sleeping on the ground of an apartment as a family our first night.

Growing up, I always knew I was different, that I was special. I had a special purpose and I always saw a vision that no one else seemed to understand or see. That combined with our divinely timed moves made it hard for me to make friends. I got through school and learned a lot of life lessons while working at the club as a promoter and being around strip clubs.

I lived each day, pushing through, earning money at my 9-5 to pay the bills until I met my husband. Things changed, but it was still hard, I still ran from a calling, a calling that I was meant for greater things, but I didn’t know what. I was a miserable mess between trying to appease and lie to my parents to keep them happy and balancing my relationship.

My mom transitioned in 2020 and it pushed me to finally start living for myself, to be free from her expectations and wants for me. I started to study Reiki and took my classes for Reiki 1 & 2 and in September 2020 got certified as a Reiki Master. I started out by learning how to read myself and then followed to call to read on various Facebook groups. Many of my boundaries for readings were set from my experience from there and I started to follow my own intuition and just go with the flow. In March 2021, I started posting on TikTok and going live to do readings and healing. I created my Soul Journey Blog in July 2021 to provide tools and resources for those who are on their journey. I’m soul excited to continue to meet and connect with more soul family.

My goal is to raise the vibration of the collective during my time here in this lifetime and to help others see their power and reclaim their power to live the life they deserve. How did you find me? Let me know in the comments 🙂

  • Moon Magick: The power of the lunar cycle

Each month, we go through a lunar cycle, from the New Moon to the Full Moon and back the other way around. It’s a continuous cycle of growth, progress, and fruition then death, rebirth and transformation. Innerstanding what energy each cycle brings and how to move with it rather than against it will add power to your workings and daily life.

One of the most powerful energies you can work with and always have access to is the moon! Our close distance to the Moon and high water content in our bodies makes us exceptionally more vulnerable to the fluctuations and transits that the moon experiences.

    Recommended Resources

This week’s recommended resource will be the Llewellyn’s 2022 Moon Sign Datebook: Weekly Planning by the Cycles of the Moon. There are two very similar names: one is the datebook and one is the regular moon sign book.  I’ve used the moon sign book in the past and liked it and decided to go with the datebook, just to see the differences and explore my options and I personally like the datebook. You can use either or both 🙂

    Phases of the Moon

The first thing that we’ll dive into is the lunar cycle, specifically each phase of the moon. what energy each phase embodies, and suggestions on how to navigate.

-The Waxing phase is the growth cycle, it starts with the New Moon and lasts for two weeks. Each lunar cycle or month, the Moon is reborn at the New  Moon and grows bigger and brighter until the Full Moon on day fourteen. As the light is increasing, this is the best time of the month to sow seeds, plant annuals, and prune plants to encourage growth.

-The Waning phase is the “death” cycle, it begins with the Full Moon and lasts two weeks. The Moon starts to disappear or “die” until day twenty eight. As the light is decreasing, now is the time to plant bulbs, root vegtables, and perennials. This is also a great time for garden maintenance, such as raking, weeding, mowing, working the soil and destroying inscects.

    Is it waning or waxing?

Waxing moons are reversed “C”s and waning moons are “C” shaped.

Every month, the moon takes a break on the New Moon and Full Moon, it is recommended that you take a garden break during these times.

The Moon also moves through all 12 zodiac signs each month for two to three days a month. There are Moon signs that are better for growth and others for digging and weeding. Taurus, Cancer, Libra, Scorpio, Capricorn and Pisces are great for sowing and planting. Aries, Gemini, Leo, Virgo, Sagittarius and Aquarius are great for mowing, pruning, digging and weeding.
